Web Development Interns
Building with us
Development interns will work on the heart of Devnuts' operations: the creation of custom web applications for our clients. Working closely with our team of developers on every phase of the project, interns will learn how build and deploy rich web software using our homegrown framework, the Devnuts Cloud Architecture.
While a main component of this internship is learning the tools of the trade, we ask that IT interns have some prior experience in creating web applications or content. More specifically, applicants should have working knowledge of any or all of the following:
- Building web pages using semantic HTML and CSS
- Web programming with PHP
- Creating and maintaining MySQL databases
- Graphic design in Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.
Marketing/Branding Interns
Initial Training
The marketing/branding intern position will focus primarily on preparing reports and marketing campaigns for potential and existing clients. You will start with a two week training period during which a Devnuts mentor will teach you what we do and how we do it. During this phase, you will get considerable training in online marketing sectors like SEO (search engine optimization) and pay-per-click campaigns. You will learn how to make a website SEO compatible, and how to work to educate clients in their own SEO efforts.
Participation and Ongoing Responsibilities
Once training is complete and your mentor feels you are ready to participate in active projects, we'll get you into the fun stuff. As an intern, you'll spend about half of your day doing market research and competitive analyses for potential clients. The rest of your day will be spent participating in brainstorming sessions and discussions regarding actual client campaigns.
Growth Beyond the Internship
Depending on your progress and participation, the endgame for a marketing intern is to become skilled and confident enough to handle your own accounts. Managing your own accounts will mean you will be responsible for pitching marketing campaigns to clients, managing client correspondence, and leading your marketing team to implement the strategy.
The speed with which you get to this level is entirely up to you; some interns might be handling their own accounts after a month, some may never. Once you handle your own accounts, you'll be eligible to receive commissions.
